Huaraz - Peru

Some pictures from my trip Lima-Huaraz-Lima in 2009. I only had to spend 200 dollars in one week; it included housing, food, tour guide, transport and adventure sports. A fantastic experience...

Huaraz is located in the Region of Ancash, in the north-central of Peru, at an altitude of 3,091 m.a.s.l.

This is a picture of Huascaran, the highest mountain in Peru at 6,768 m.a.s.l., it lasts seven days to ascend.

This is one of the best things of Huaraz, you can see beautiful animals and landscapes in way to the lagoons.

After four hours of trekking we finally arrived to "Laguna 69"

You can practice several adventure sports in Huaraz. We decided to do canyoning, we descended from the waterfalls using harnesses... one of the best experiences of my life, full adrenaline. Other sports: puenting, mountaineering, rock climbing, mountain biking, trekking.
